EncontrADA: July 30 to August 2, 2026
Proximity, collaboration, and assembly
Since 2012, EncontrADA has occupied a singular place in the Brazilian feminist ecosystem. It is not a congress, not a training school, not a street mobilization. It is the space where women, trans and non-binary people from different generations, regions, and fields of action — activists, researchers, artists, educators, community leaders — come together to strengthen bonds, share knowledge, and develop collective strategies. Over seven editions, EncontrADA has generated connections that persist in the movements these people build throughout the year.
The 2026 edition, this eighth edition, proposes the concept of Entanglements: an invitation to strengthen connections between different feminisms, social movements, territories, ancestral knowledge, community practices, art, technology, and socio-environmental justice. EncontrADA 2026 will be a feminist assembly of collective intelligence, with participatory methodology oriented toward the production of shared visions of futures and concrete strategies to confront the violence advancing over bodies, territories, and rights.

Registration
EncontrADA is open to women, trans and non-binary people from different territories, generations, and areas of activity. Activities are free and confirmed upon registration. For those coming from outside Rio de Janeiro, the organization guarantees accommodation and meals during the four days of immersion at Silo’s headquarters; however, spots are limited. Participants from the region have meals guaranteed during activities.
Registration for the general program is open until July 13, with limited spots. There will be specific activities for boys and men on masculinities.
What you will experience
Over four days, Serrinha do Alambari hosts workshops, conversations, laboratories, communal living, and experiences built from the exchange of different knowledge and practices.
The programming open to the public includes activities and workshops spanning themes such as home herbal medicine, natural gynecology, ceramics, audiovisual, theater, dance, technology, citizen data generation and accessibility, as well as a cultural program.
One of the central axes is dedicated to masculinities, aimed at boys and men — a space for reflection centered on life and care.
In this edition, we will once again hold the Confabulations, which bring together leaders from feminist organizations and movements from different regions of the country to think about the future of organizations. The theme of this edition is masculinities: how does feminism name, challenge, and transform the models of masculinity it wants to see in the world? The question that will guide the axis is: how do we set the agenda for the masculinity we imagine?
Feminist organizations need to actively deal with what men do with the power they hold — and with the futures they imagine for themselves. Drawing from the experiences and reflections brought by participants, the Confabulations will produce a message manual on future-centered, care-oriented masculinities, for use by Brazilian feminist organizations.

History
EncontrADA is a feminist gathering focused on the exchange of knowledge between different feminist perspectives that make up distinct modes of existence. It began in 2012 through the open call “Body, feminism, and technology: free!”, with the aim of establishing a network to provoke the importance of technologies in feminism. From the first EncontrADA onward, the immersion became a place for intergenerational gathering of different feminist groups interested in crafts, technologies, and ancestry.
